World Circus Day
World Circus Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of April. It is an international day and an opportunity to raise public awareness of the circus arts and the magic that is the circus.
The modern day circus looks very much different from the ancient ones held in Rome. Circuses then consisted of fighting gladiators and blood sports. Todays circus is extremely popular with lots of clowns, magicians, jugglers, trapeze acts, trained animal and gymnastic acts.
