Kazakhstan, officially the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a transcontinental country located mainly in Central Asia and partly in Eastern Europe. It borders Russia to the north and west, China to the east, Kyrgyzstan to the southeast, Uzbekistan to the south and Turkmenistan to the southwest. It is the ninth biggest country in the world and the largest landlocked country. It has a population of 19 million people and one of the lowest population densities in the world with fewer than 6 people per sq km.
