Greece Colouring Sheets
Greece is a country in southeastern Europe situated on the Balkan Peninsula. It has a population of around 10.5 million and shares a border with Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey. It is a very mountainous country with mountains covering 80% of the land, the two major mountain ranges being the Pindus and Taurus mountains. Greece is famous for its ancient philosophers such as Plato, Pythagoras and Socrates and it was also where the Olympic Games originated. The national flag of Greece consists of nine equal horizontal bands of blue alternating with white. There is a blue square with a white cross on the top left hand side. The white cross symbolises Eastern Orthodox Christianity and the blue and white symbolise the colours of the Greek sky and sea. We have created a printable version of the flag for you to colour in.
